Dear City Council members, My name is Bert Forbes, and I live in downtown San Luis Obispo. I am sharing my support, in line with Downtown SLO’s Board of Directors, for Option B of the Parking Rate Study recommendations presented by Dixon Unlimited. This option offers the most affordable parking rates downtown, addressing the primary concern expressed by respondents in the Parking Rate Study. I also support their well-thought-out suggestions, in particular:  Reduction to only one mobile parking app across all of downtown to simplify the user experience. As I have encountered problems with having multiple ways, some of which don't seem to match the rules for when timing starts on a Sunday.  Expanding on-street parking time limits from 2 to 3 hours. With the 9pm end of paid parking, if one is having dinner downtown, 2 hours may not be long enough. Furthermore, I support this, because I have friends that are not coming to downtown SLO anymore due to the parking rates and issues. That can't be good for businesses or the City. Thanks for the opportunity to correct something that truly makes SLO less friendly. You can't have a conversation about SLO without someone complaining about the current parking costs. Bert 1
