Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. SLO City Council: As a resident of the five cities area, I fully support the downtown Merchants requesting a drastically reduced parking rate, option B being the best scenario. As the rates and times stand now, it hinders my ability to enjoy and patronize, leisurely shopping and dining in SLO and I have found myself cutting my time short, which also drastically cuts my expenditures in the businesses there. Furthermore, whatever you can do to discourage unhoused people from causing harm to the cleanliness and harassment to me as a visitor should be built into your budgets with more frequent police patrols. Your downtown prior to Covid was very enjoyable and unique. Now, with unreasonable parking restrictions and the proximity of unstable individuals have caused me to spend my time and money in Morro Bay and Arroyo Grande rather than SLO downtown. I would love to give your merchants my business in person with the changes described above.
