Dear City Council, My name is Anonymous, and I represent local residents in neighboring communities of San Luis Obispo. I am sharing support generally in line with Downtown SLO’s Board of Directors for Option B of the Parking Rate Study recommendations presented by Dixon Unlimited. This option offers better-than-current parking rate system downtown, addressing the primary concern expressed by respondents in the Parking Rate Study. I strongly urge you to retain Sunday Free Parking. The question is this: how much money does the city earn on any given Sunday? Is it enough to continue to deter locals from shopping and dining? Personally, being gifted a "hassle free" Sunday in SLO was a welcome reprieve to the utterly maddening parking costs and dysfunctional electronic systems. I strongly urge the council to amend the proposal to include FREE Sunday parking in SLO. It's been a nightmare of broken meters, poorly functioning computers and outrageous pricing lately... so, almost anything will be better than current. Sincerely, Anonymous 1
