Subject:Parking in Downtown SLO
This message is from an External Source. Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond.
Hello...I'm a SLO county resident, and I work in a retail store downtown.
The parking survey is done, and you have options to consider. Unless you, as our representatives and in control of the
future of downtown SLO, choose option B, I believe parking will be a moot point, because people won't come and more
businesses will have to make a difficult decision to stay or go in order to survive.
Tourists might come, but not spend as much. We've seen them browsing, then run out the door because their time is
running out. They seldom return. Businesses are feeling the crunch of continued inflation, increases in insurances and
wages and utilities. We hear from our regulars (locals) they don't come downtown anymore because of the cost. They'll
go to Paso for movies and restaurants, or Madonna Plaza or on Broad Street, where parking is free.
Do you really think any other option is in the best interest of SLO? Please make the right choice and support Option B.
Thank you!
