Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ Dear City Council Members, I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my concern regarding the current state of downtown San Luis Obispo’s retail environment and parking rates. As a member of the community, I believe that lowering parking rates and investing in the revitalization of the retail environment are crucial steps towards fostering a vibrant and thriving downtown area. Lower parking rates would not only make it more affordable for residents and visitors to access downtown businesses but also encourage increased foot traffic, benefiting local merchants. Furthermore, investing in initiatives to repair and enhance the retail environment would create a more attractive and welcoming downtown area, attracting both residents and tourists alike. This would not only support existing businesses but also stimulate economic growth and development in our community. I urge the City Council to consider Option B from the parking survey. It is imperative that you take action to lower parking rates and prioritize the repair and revitalization of the downtown retail environment via a PR campaign. Together, we can work towards creating a downtown area that thrives and continues to be the heart of our community. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Steven Wick & Katy Hemler 8052155061 7609205872 1
