Dear Mayor Stewart and council members: I support approving the Energy Efficiency Renovations Policy for major residential additions and alterations. This policy is critical to achieving our city's climate goal. I appreciate the efforts of the staff to draft an excellent approach to this issue. I would recommend that prior to renewing the policy in 2026, reviewing progress and seeing if any changes need to be made including reducing the square footage required to trigger policy applicability.
