1 Tally Perry No Edwards, Coastal, Kitchell, Rincon, and PAR arrived on site prior
to 7 am. No construction noise was made before 7 am. The day
began with clearing a portion of the Monterey site for mulch
delivery. RRM arborist arrived on site for oversight of removal of
small retaining wall in Oak Tree protection zone and sidewalk
removal in Afro carpus tree protection zone. No major concerns
were brought up by the arborist. It was reinforced to move tree
protection fencing forward to dripline of oak tree once mulch is
spread. Mulch deliveries continued throughout the day. Three
historical bottles found by Rincon, nothing of urgent significance.
Ben with city of SLO walked with Kitchell and Edwards for a
punch walk of the Monterey Lot and plan was discussed for the
remainder of the lot demo. Team investigated unknown pipe on
site. Determined it is possibly an abandoned well, and Kitchell is
reaching out to the county for information, but it was agreed upon
to leave slightly uncovered until Phase 1B.2. Fence factory
representative arrived on site around 1:30 to discuss fencing
modifications to reopen parking lot. PARC and Rincon’s last day.
No accidents or incidents were reported to Kitchell.
