1 Ryan Stefanek No Kitchell, Edwards, and Coastal arrived onsite around 6:45am and
no noise producing construction activities occurred before 7am.
Work proceeded with loading of previously demolished asphalt
and concrete into off haul trailers. Coastal used their water truck
to limit dust during the loading of the trucks, and the drivers were
tarping the loads before they left site. Coastal kept a close eye on
the entrance of site and swept up any dust or debris that
inadvertently left the site after every truck load.
Around 9:30 Hive engineering arrived on site and the perimeter
was walked by Hive, Edwards, and Kitchell for review of BMPs in
accordance with the SWPP plan. Comments from Hive were
limited to ensuring that the silt fence lapped in one location, and
making sure the gravel bags at the outlets under the sidewalk are
properly maintained and installed. Hive did have concerns with
the natural dirt berms that were a product of the removal of the
planter boxes. The plan at this time is to monitor the weather until
the berms are removed, and if any rain events look possible
onsite actions will be taken to help direct the water to the
appropriate areas.
At roughly 12:00 Cold Canyon notified Coastal demolition that
they could not take any additional waste for the day as they
needed to make room in the area Coastal had been dumping
debris. Coastal kept staff onsite until around 1:30 to clean up and
stock pile debris.
Kitchell ended the day onsite taking photos of the depth of asphalt
in some of the newly exposed areas, seeing depths between 4" to
10" depending on the location. At this time it appears the majority
of the enlarged asphalt is concentrated to the North West corner
of site, with the upper South East corner having more standard
