1 Tally Richtsmeier No Coastal Demo, Edwards, and Kitchell arrived on site around 6:45.
No construction noise was made prior to 7 am. Rincon soils
monitor arrived at 7 and Rincon archeologist and city Tribal
Monitor arrived at 8 am. From city's approval of 1 day of street
work, plastic was laid down in the street, pedestrian plan was
installed and confirmed by Kitchell, and access was restricted to
the sidewalk fence gate swung out and caution tape installed.
Rincon expressed no concerns to Kitchell about plan being
enacted. Soil was swept off plastic back on site and any rips in
plastic were promptly repaired. 8 truckloads of remaining soil was
off-hauled to Kettleman. Surveyor came out and shot point depths
to aid in confirmation of 1-foot of soil removal based on initial
survey points. . Rincon declared the site clean and the Monterey
side was sloped at a 2-1, feathering into the clean soil. Edwards
and Coastal Demo ended the day by installing waddles
horizontally down site, securing the Palm street fence line, and
compiling trash to be collected tomorrow. No items of work-
hindering significance were found by Rincon archeologist or Tribal
Monitor.
In regards to Phase 2:
Kitchell, Swinerton, and the City held a site walk after
contaminated soil was removed. Items discussed included entry
logistics, road closure and street concrete logistics, etc.
No accidents or incidents were reported to Kitchell.
