1 Ryan Stefanek No Swinerton, KITCHELL, and McMahon arrived onsite around 6:45
and no noise was produced until7:00am. Rincon, Earth Systems
and the tribal monitor arrived around 7:00am. Work continued on
the eastern retaining wall soldier beams with the drilling and
installation of 3 soldier beams. Concrete arrived around 2:00 with
two concrete deliveries. Slurry was delivered and installed in the 3
piers that were drilled today as well as the three piers drilled
yesterday. At roughly 9:30 Kitchell was notified by Swinerton that
there were cultural resources and a bone found onsite that the
tribal monitor had notified their contractor about. At roughly 10:00
Kitchell, Swinerton, Rincon's Archeologist, and the Tribal Monitor
discussed the findings and it was Rincon's Osteologist opinion
that the bone was non human. Both Rincon and the Tribal Monitor
confirmed that layout could continue in the area as planned by the
contractor. Kitchell discussed with the City the findings and the
City coordinated further with the Tribal Monitor to confirm that no
work would be impacted in the South Eastern corner of site and
that the drilling in that area could continue as planned on Monday
3/11.
Trim trimming also occurred on the corner of Monterey and
Nipomo street.
No accidents or incidents were reported to KITCHELL today.
