1 Meghan Schmeiser No McMahon continued tieback and lagging activities. Slurry at upper
lagging #1-10 per RFI 61.2. Slurry at second lagging lower 4
boards #10-14 per RFI 61.2. Drilling at tieback #18 initiated but
not completed due to obstruction of casing impacting drilling.
Grout mixing machine was clogged and no grout could be mixed
for hole #18 for the weekend. According to contractor McMahon
stated #18 hole-in-progressed was left cased for weekend.
Smith continued dry utilities on Dana Street. Work in progress
was digging for the vault in the sidewalk of Dana street.
Pedestrian and traffic signage in place.
Walked perimeter; approved signage in-place. Fence screen still
down in areas due to previous weather events. Temp fence and
screen in-place between site and apartment parking area. Snow
fence in place at south end of apartment parking lot. See photos
for further detail.
2 Ryan Stefanek No Swinerton, KITCHELL, Smith, and McMahon arrived onsite
around 6:45 with no noise producing activities occurring before
7am. Earth Systems soils engineer and tribal monitor arrived
around 7am. Work continued on Dana street for underground dry
utilities with work on the electrical vault.
McMahon began drilling of soldier pile #18, at roughly 30' into the
tie back drilling difficulties were encountered with the drill head
and casing becoming disengaged from the rest of the drill rig. All
pieces were recovered and according to the contractor the casing
was left in place to keep hole intact over the weekend. All work
onsite was complete by noon.
No accidents or incidents were reported to KITCHELL today.
