Description of work:
Catherine Johnson was on site during excavations. Mark Meeks performed compaction testing of trench backfill. Daniel Luna, PG&E, was on site to inspect and evaluate existing PG&E
conduits that are warped due to tree roots. Daniel took photos of the conduits and will present to PG&E design team.
Trenching continued to the proposed City Comm manhole. City communication conduit at the intersection of Palm and Broad was found to be 8.5 feet below finished surface, deeper than
the contractor bid for in CRB#1. CRB#2 will address extra work for existing conditions.
18-inch smooth dowels were installed and Class 2 concrete placed from near the PG&E #5 pull box to Palm Street.
