Description of work:
18 inch long 1/2-inch smooth dowels were installed in the concrete pavement section within the trench walls with 6 inch embedment and 5-foot spacing, staggered at 30-inch intervals where
needed. Grease was applied to the embedded side. 9 cubic yards of Class 2 concrete, Cal Portland mix 590GN1040, was placed and vibrated within lower Broad and part of the Monterey
trench. The area concreted will be paved tomorrow.
