Good afternoon!
To date, Rincon has provided 9 full days and 2 half days of archaeological monitoring.
Today, Monday 2/13/2023, the crew continued trenching west on Broad Street towards the intersection with Palm Street. They began excavating the trench using a 305.5E2 excavator, but
switched to using hydro vacuum excavation upon reaching the roots of the ficus tree. The crew also began excavating a pit into the sidewalk to locate existing utility lines and to install
new utility boxes. Ground disturbance activities stopped around 1:45 and the monitor left the site at that time.
Tomorrow, Tuesday 2/14/2023, the crew will continue with hydro vacuum excavation around the ficus roots as well as continue excavating the pit and the trench west on Broad Street.
