Good afternoon!
To date, Rincon has provided 11 full days and 3 half days of archaeological monitoring.
Today, Thursday 2/16/2023, ground disturbing activities included continuing excavating the trench west on Broad towards the intersection with Palm Street. Excavation encountered a series
of thick tree roots at the intersection, and hydro vacuum excavation was required. Ground disturbing activities ceased at 2:00 and the monitor left the site.
Tomorrow, Friday 2/17/2023, the plan is to continue hydro vacuum excavation around the tree roots, and jack hammer and excavate the remaining section of the trench into the intersection
of Broad Street and Palm Street.
