Good afternoon Bill,
To date, Rincon has provided 7 full days and 1 half day of monitoring.
Today, Wednesday 2/8/2023, the monitor was on site at 7:00am and monitored the excavation of a second pit for the installation of a PG&E vault, as well as the continued excavation of
the trench running north on Monterey Street into the intersection of Broad Street. The crew assessed the situation regarding the slurry block and sewer line beneath it and decided to
dig further down to install the conduit line underneath the sewer pipe. The crew began excavating the trench around the corner of the intersection and west onto Broad Street. They
assessed the concrete block that was uncovered 27 inches below street level, and created a tunnel underneath this block for the conduit lines. The crew completed ground disturbing activities
at 12:00 noon. Activities for the rest of the day included laying the conduit lines and backfilling. The monitor left the site around 12:10pm.
The plan for tomorrow, Thursday 2/9/2023, is to fill the trench with cement and to continue excavating the trench west along Broad Street. Ground disturbing activities are planned to
begin around 12:00 noon, and the monitor will be on site at that time. If plans change, the monitor will be notified.
