To date, Rincon has provided 15 full days and 3 half days of archaeological monitoring. Today, Monday 3/6/2023, ground disturbing activities included excavating a pit in the intersection of Broad and Monterey to install an additional conduit line, as well as widening the trench in the SLO History Center parking lot by 1-foot on either side, to a total of 4 feet wide, in order to prepare for resurfacing the parking lot. Tomorrow, construction crew will continue widening the trench, at which point ground disturbing activities will cease for the time being.
