A Bear in San Luis Obispo!
•A bear was reported to SLO Police about
5:50 AM this morning near downtown
•California Department of Fish and Wildlife
also responded and were able to tranquilize
the bear and relocated it back to an area of
suitable, native habitat
•The bear is safe and at no time did it threaten
the community
•We are fortunate to live next to open spaces
and wild lands in San Luis Obispo, and it is
City policy to protect habitat and wildlife
migration corridors
•Residents are encouraged to be aware of
their surroundings and call SLO Police at
(805) 781-7131
