The City of San Luis Obispo (“City”) received your request pursuant to the California Public Records Act
delivered via email on April 29, 2024. Today’s production will complete our processing of the responsive
information and close the request.
1. Homekey Projects:
a. Calle Joaquin Homekey
1. 75 permanent supportive housing units, 1 manager’s unit
2. Co-applicants: City of SLO, People’s Self-Help Housing Corporation

2. Signed Covenants & Contracts
a. N/A – still awaiting the Standard Agreement from the California Department of Housing and
Community Development (HCD) and no other covenants or contracts related to the
development and operation of the Homekey property have been executed at this time.
3. Funding Commitments
a. Homekey Award: $19.4 million
b. County of San Luis Obispo: $2.6 million funding commitment for capital and renovations
c. City of SLO: $400,000 Affordable Housing Fund commitment
d. The Balay Ko Foundation: $800,000 gap funding commitment for acquisition costs
e. Wells Fargo: $150,000 Homekey Accelerator Funds
f. The Housing Authority of San Luis Obispo (HASLO): 60 project-based vouchers starting in
year 4 of the project
4. Number of Units Completed and Permitted
a. N/A – construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in June 2024 on the Calle Joaquin
Homekey project
5. Monthly Occupancy Rates
a. N/A – full occupancy is tentatively scheduled to be achieved in March 2025
6. Total Number of People who have left each Homekey property

7. Total Number of People who have remained housed
