City of San Luis Obispo

Occupation: lncumbent
Education and Qualifications: I am grateful to San Luis Obispo residents for electing me
Mayor for six years and Councilmember for ten. l've responded decisively and creatively to
challenges, including the pandemic, economic downturn and natural disasters. I prioritize fiscal
responsibility, housing, economic vitality, social fairness, environmental stewardship,
neighborhood safety and climate action. Planning is important, but current residents' health,
safety and wellbeing must come first.
To meet future challenges, we need a Councilmember with: 1) the experience, knowledge and
practical vision to guide City policy wisely, respecting residents' values; 2) integrity, civility and
willingness to listen to everyone, without playing favorites; 3) a track record of prudent
budgeting, accountability, anti-discrimination, open space protection and climate action; and 4)
dedication to increasing neighborhood safety, water security, atfordable and workforce housing
and renter protection, and homelessness solutions. A proven leader, I am the only candidate
fitting that descriptron.
I am a 36-year resident, married grandmother, Stanford graduate, attorney and
businesswoman, active in Chamber, Rotary, neighborhood, conservation, arts and
humanitarian organizations.
My experience, effectiveness, devotion and vision make me the most qualified candidate for
Council. Working together, San Luis Obispo will become an even more extraordinary place to
