I’m a local long-time cannabis activist, dedicated to making sure that the community can benefit from the health and wellness opportunities associated with cannabis products. I’ve also been an advocate for local business for decades, leading the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and partnering in a number of nearby cannabis businesses in SLO County. In the worlds of cannabis advocacy and business, trust doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built over time by showing up, listening, and following through on commitments. That’s exactly what Embarc has done here in San Luis Obispo. From day one, they have prioritized transparency and accountability, ensuring that every step of the process was guided by the values of this community. By assembling a local CAB made up of people who truly understand the needs of San Luis Obispo, Embarc has made it clear that they are here to serve, not just to operate. One of the things that sets Embarc apart is how deeply they’ve engaged with community members and leaders, ensuring that their presence will bring tangible benefits. Whether it’s through economic 1 investment, local hiring, or charitable contributions, Embarc has consistently demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community that supports them. At its core, this is a company that is about more than just business. They are about building relationships, supporting local causes, and ensuring that their operations align with the values of San Luis Obispo. I strongly encourage you to approve Embarc’s CUP, as I know they will continue to earn the trust of this community and show up in ways that make a real difference. Sincerely, Sunni Vogel Local Owner, Embarc SLO Get Outlook for iOS 2
