REGULAR Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee
CALL TO ORDER
A Regular Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee was called to order on Wednesday,
July 10, 2024, at 2:31 p.m. by Vice Chair David Figueroa.
ROLL CALL
Present: Committee Members David Figueroa (Chair), Marlene Cramer (Vice Chair, Cal Poly),
Ryan Meller (Student), Matthew Duffy (Disability), and Hans Hershberger (Business).
Absent: Committee Members Robin Kisinger (Senior), Trevor Freeman (Technical), and Audrey
Lariz (Alternative).
Staff: Mobility Services Business Manager Alex Fuchs, and Transit Coordinator Jesse Stanley
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER MELLER, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER DUFFY, CARRIED 4-0 (Members Kisinger, Freeman, Lariz absent), the Mass
Transportation Committee nominated Committee Member Figueroa as Committee Chair.
ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER FIGUEROA, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER MELLER, CARRIED 4-0 (Members Kisinger, Freeman, Lariz absent), the Mass
Transportation Committee nominated Committee Member Cramer as Committee Vice Chair.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA
Resident Louise Justice provided a public comment regarding notification of service changes to
riders and rider guide materials along with on-board information needing to be updated.

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES
1. Minutes of the Mass Transportation Committee of June 5, 2024.

ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER CRAMER, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER FIGUEROA, CARRIED 5-0 (Members Kisinger, Freeman, Lariz absent), the Mass
Transportation Committee approved the minutes of July 10, 2024, with the agreement that
revisions would be made.
PRESENTATIONS
2. Cal Poly. Marlene Cramer provided a presentation pertaining to Cal Poly changing from
Cal Poly Time (:10, :40 after hour) to the majority of classes beginning on the hour and 30
after the hour, effective Fall 2026.
BUSINESS ITEMS
3. Mobility Services Business Manager Alex Fuchs provided updates on Community parking
for City Council and Advisory Body Meetings, the Joint RTA/SLO Transit Short Range
Transit Plan with working paper #4, and the Downtown Access Pass program.
COMMENTS AND DISCUSSION
4. Mobility Services Business Manager Alex Fuchs provided updates on Fiscal year 2024
ridership data and upcoming marketing and promotional events.
Committee Member Figueroa, Meller, Duffy, and Hershberger commented.

ADJOURNMENT
ACTION: UPON MOTION OF COMMITTEE MEMBER MELLER, SECONDED BY COMMITTEE
MEMBER DUFFY, CARRIED 4-0, the meeting was adjourned at 4:01 p.m.
The next REGULAR Meeting of the Mass Transportation Committee is scheduled for Wednesday,
September 11, 2024, at 2:30 p.m., at the Council Hearing Room, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo,
California.
