ptans submitted have been reviewed for compliance with the appropriate standards as indicated
below. Unless otherwise noted, all code references are from the current editions of the appropriate
codes. Devices installed must comply with minimum NFPA and UFC requirements' ADA
requirements have not been review by the Fire Department. The applicant is advised
to investigate any additional ADA requirements which may be required.
1) provide record drawings and certification of the fire alarm system in accordance
with NFPA 72, Sec. 1.7.2 prior to final approval'
2l All signals shall be monitored by a UL listed monitoring station. lf Valley Alarm
is used they must monitor tamper and trouble signals also'
3) Please revise voltage drop and battery calculations to show all proposed
devices.
4l Submit cut sheets for all devices, wiring, and appliances proposed or used'
provide Ul-listing and CSFM approvals. The following items need to be
included this submittal; rate of rise heat detector, HVAC duct detection, tamper
devices for os&Y valves, wiring, graphic annunciator panel (type of panel &
pedestal), key pad (D1256), dual phone modula (D928 or D12Bl, & the
monitoring equipment used for class-1 hoods'
b) The owner shall hire a qualified agency to provide maintenance inspections as
required by NFpA 72 and UFC on at least a quarterly basis. Please provide a
maintenance contract for our files. All devices within the complex shall be
reviewed within a Years time.

6)Alarm Signal - The alarm signal shall be keyed to one half to one second "on"
and one
-second "off" for three cycles. The alarm signal shall be_ repeated for
the duration that the fire alarm system is activated. IUFC 1007.3.3.3.21
Connections to Other Systems - A fire alarm system shall not be used for any

Compliance to the chief that the system has been installed in accordance

details relating to annunciation, evacuation warning, remote signaling and
activation of fire safety control functions, as applicable'
Part 3 of Title 24 CCR, The California Electrical Code (CEC) limits the amount of
conduit fill to a maximum of 4Oo/o. Chapter 9 or Part 3 provides tables
indicating the maximum number of conductors of various sizes which can be
used in various sizes of conduit in order to comply with the 40% limitation.

It appears as if the wiring for the horns is supervised by the module
supplied in the Radionics panel. The batteries in the Radionics panel also
appear to be supervised but not the aux. power supply.
