codes. Devices installed must comply with minimum NFPA and UFC requirements. ADA
requirements have not been review by the Fire Department. The applicant is advised
to investigate any additional ADA requirements which may be required.

All signals shall be monitored by a UL listed monitoring station. lf Valley Alarm
is used they must monitor tamper and trouble signals also.

Alarm Signal - The alarm signal shall be keyed to one half to one second "on"
and one second "off" for three cycles. The alarm signal shall be repeated for
the duration that the fire alarm system is activated. IUFC 1007.3.3.3.21
Connections to Other Systems - A fire alarm system shall not be used for any
purpose other than fire warning unless approved by the authority having

Supervision - Means of interconnection equipment, devices and appliances shall
be supervised for the integrity of the interconnecting conductors or equivalent,
as set forth in UFC Standard 1O-2.

Duct Detection - provide an LED display for each HVAC
unit showing the status of the smoke detector. Include testi

of the entire system shall be made in the presence of the chief. All
functions of the system or alteration shall be tested. IUFC 1007.3.4.11r

Part 3 of Title 24 CCR, The Califblnia Electrical code (cEc) limits the amount of
conduit fill to a maximum of 4Oo/o. Chapter 9 or Part 3 provides tables
indicating the maximum number of conductors of various sizes which can be
used in various sizes of conduit in order to comply with the 4Oo/o limitation.

It appears as if the wiring for the horns is supervised by the module
supplied in the Radionics panel. The batteries in the Radionics panel also
appear to be supervised but not the aux. power supply.
