Good evening City Council and Mayor Stewart,
Thanks for considering my request tonight. That said, I hope you all will try to take drive up Slack Street beyond the
intersection of Henderson and Slack Street to see the mess that they have up there. There is now way to get more than
the parked car there and once lane of traffic. There is not way that you can have two cars pass on the narrow road the
way they have planned it. In there own picture they show a parked car in the lane that is supposed to be for two lanes
of traffic. It will not work very well gong forward. They have the opportunity to put a retaining wall there and make it
all the same width but no, they are going to leave it the way it is now and leave the City to deal with the issues in the
future east of Henderson on Slack. I had heard that they might be planning to moving the overhead poles onto the
other side of the street and leave poles on the City side of the street. It was glossed over so make sure they don’t try
that one on you! I do recommend that you take a drive up there and see the issues that you can’t see without
experiencing it while driving up there. I know it is a done deal and I didn’t expect you change the staff report that Cal
Poly was in favor of but thanks for listening anyway.
I will call next time it rains and have the Public Works department come move the mud out the street. Thanks again for
listening.
Bill
