Hello,
My name is Yiming and I'm a Cal Poly CRP student living on campus. I'm asking the MTC/SLO Transit to
advise council to continue the pilot or even possibly make permanent the 6X bus on Thursdays.
It's a vast improvement over last year when I remember cramming onto the 4B and having to nearly stand
next to the driver. There is consistent demand for this route and I would even consider piloting this on
other days of the week.
If there were to be a pilot of this on other days, I would add a stop next to the Smart & Final on Johnson,
since it's the closest grocery store. As a freshman last year who couldn't have a car, it was inconvenient
to walk from the transit center to the grocery store, and then haul groceries to a stop on Monterey.
Something that could be improved is the name; it's kind of confusing that there's a 6 express but no 6
line. Maybe this could be changed in the next iteration?
