I live on Poinsettia Street south of Tank Farm.
As a general comment, I think the City should expand its use of roundabouts. They cause drivers to slow down at
junctions, rather then speed up to make a green light.
Tank Farm already has two magnificent roundabouts at Righetti Ranch and Orcutt. No doubt these were expensive, but a
less elaborate roundabout would be appropriate at Poinsettia. At Poinsettia, traffic from the East flies down the hill on
Tank Farm, and the increasing volume of traffic coming from the West, away from Broad, makes it sometimes very tricky
to make a left turn from the South, toward Broad. The pedestrian crossing complicates this, as do the two driveways into
the Marigold shopping center.
If a roundabout is not on the cards, the Alternative Configuration shown on Exhibit B would at least help.
