Changing the voting system under the guise of civil rights is nothing sort of a Motte and Bailey
scheme. This is yet another way to disenfranchise the voters of SLO county as selected
politicians push failed globalist schemes down the throats of working class Californians.
The SoCal lawyer who pesters cities and school districts to change their voting systems to
supposedly help minorities get elected (and then settles with a nice payment from the
threatened entity -- $75K from SLO) threatened to sue the city for violating civil rights
provisions of CA election law that supposedly prevent "minority" members on the council
is more well known in this county than you might think.
The allegation has obvious problems, like a recent councilman Gomez and mayor Romero
and a current mayor who's Black.
So the city decided to surrender and reach a settlement.
How we vote at the local level affects our lives just as much as any state or federal
election. Our vote here at home is sacred and to strip that away through intentionally bad
policy is criminal.
This decision needs to be made in the light of day and through the public’s consent.
