My family and I live in The Arbors and very much appreciate the plans to reduce speeds and protect bicyclists with
physical barriers.
The flex posts are a game changer.
We have two young children and the current road configuration feels very unsafe for anyone outside of an
automobile, mostly due to the high speeds and ignored speed limits. We leave our neighborhood on foot or by bike
more often than we leave in the car and we very much look forward to these planned improvements so that active
transportation becomes less risky.
The bulbouts at Tank Farm and Poinsettia as well as Tank Farm and Morning Glory will be a fantastic improvement,
as will the new RRFB at Morning Glory. We would also love to see the same bulbout (and RRFB, if possible)
treatment for Tank Farm and Brookpine as well as Tank Farm and Wavertree. This would force cars to take these
turns at a safer (i.e. lower) speed while reducing the off-sidewalk distance between corners.
Thank you for your dedication to improving our city streets.
