Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Please consider placing a hold on extra curbing, painting and signage for Tank Farm and Johnson Avenue. Can we just please have normal streets and sidewalks without extra double curbs and narrowed lanes? Replication of the disaster along Chorro Street is exactly what the rest of town does not need at this time of budgetary shortfalls. In fact, extra curbing downtown has actually created a trip hazard at the pedestrian crossing at Garden and Higuera. See attached photo. This chasm between sidewalk and extra curbing covered with metal plate is dangerous. I witnessed a man trip on this with his foot. This should be removed immediately in my opinion. There may be a security camera covering this location. Possibly multiple trips and falls caused by this horrible design. What happened to the Rail Road Safety Trail? Righetti Ranch developer was required to plan and install a path to nowhere ending on Bullock Lane. Why is this public roadway blocked? In the original plan, Bullock Lane would serve as a walkway/bikeway to connect the trail at Orcutt and Laurel allowing access to the RR Station and Downtown. The Jennifer Street Bridge over pass and bike boulevard to downtown is a wonderful addition to safe access to downtown but this gap prevents safe access to downtown for the Arbors and Righetti Ranch. Item f : How and why did Bullock become blocked for bike and pedestrian access until funding could be found?
