Election for the position of Mayor The following two candidates appeared on the ballot to fill one vacancy for the position of Mayor for a full term to expire on December 1, 2026. As the below vote tally indicates, Erica A. Stewart was the candidate receiving the highest number of votes. Candidate Name Votes Received Vote Percentage Erica A. Stewart 17,520 84.31% Donald E. Hedrick 3,261 15.69% Election for Two Members of the City Council The following four candidates appeared on the ballot to fill two vacancies on the City Council for full terms to expire on December 1, 2028. As the below vote tally indicates, Jan Marx and Mike Boswell were the candidates receiving the highest number of votes. Candidate Name Votes Received Vote Percentage Jan Marx 11,955 36.92% Mike Boswell 11,089 34.24% John Drake 5,909 18.25% Felicia Lewis 3,430 10.59% In accordance with California Elections Code Section 10262, Council is requested to adopt a resolution declaring the results of the General Municipal Election and the final Certificate of Canvass. A resolution containing the preliminary results was provided with the agenda report. Certification of the results and Statement of Votes Cast, as provided by the Council Clerk-Recorder (Attachment A).
