Dear Council Members:
We are writing as residents of the San Luis Ranch neighborhood in San Luis Obispo to express our
opposition to the proposed development plan for San Luis Ranch Lot 7 on Dalidio Drive. Specifically, we
strongly object to the inclusion of new housing directly behind our property.
When we selected our home in 2021, we chose this location with great enthusiasm due to the promise of
neighborhood shops behind our residence, a key selling point emphasized by the builder. This assurance
played a significant role in our decision to invest in this neighborhood. We did not anticipate, nor do we
support, the construction of low-income housing, tall townhomes, apartment buildings, or parking lots in
such close proximity to our property.
For your reference, attached is documentation of the brochures we received for the neighborhood and a
screenshot of the current website that still features the neighborhood shops.
The proposed plan includes elements that are inconsistent with the expectations and commitments that
were instrumental in our purchase decision. We respectfully urge the Council to preserve the original
vision of the neighborhood and the quality of life for its residents.
