1. CALL TO ORDER
A Special Meeting of the San Luis Obispo Mass Transportation Committee was
called to order on December 11, 2024 at 2:37 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room
at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo, by Chair Figueroa.
2. PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

3. COMMENT AND DISCUSSION
3.a 2025-27 MASS TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE GOAL SETTING AND
THE FINANCIAL PLAN PROCESS
The MTC recommended goals and tasks for the upcoming FY25-27
Financial Plan based on the draft Short-Range Transit Plan update and
Transit Innovations Study.
Motion By Chair Figueroa
Second By Member Hershberger

Committee recommends to Council, for the 2025-27 budget cycle, to focus
on all of the "High Impact to Ridership" recommendations found in the
recently approved SLO Transit Innovation Study, with the exception of
Micro Transit (which may be a focus for future budget cycles). In addition,
we recommend focusing on the following recommendations from the same
study: Expand the Downtown Access Program, and Install Lighting,
Shelters and Bike Parking at Bus Stops.
Ayes (7): Member Duffy, Member Hershberger, Member Kisinger, Member
Lariz, Member McBride, Vice Chair Cramer, and Chair Figueroa
Absent (1): Member Freeman
CARRIED (7 to 0)
4. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 4:03 p.m. The next Regular Meeting of the Mass
Transportation Committee is scheduled for January 8, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. in the
Council Hearing Room at City Hall, 990 Palm Street, San Luis Obispo.
