Grand Avenue Road Diet / Pilot Project
Purpose
•Reduce safety concerns along the corridor
•Slow vehicle speeds
•Provide more physical separation between
vehicles and bicycles
•Provide enhanced pedestrian crossings
with added visibility
Construction Status (Nearing Completion)
•Striping work began at the end of last year
•Most striping work completed
•Remaining striping, marking, signs and
pedestrian beacons expected to be
installed over the next month

Mission Plaza Enhancement Project
Construction Updates:
•Dog-Leg Temporary Closure: Wednesday,
January 22, 2025,from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM :
•Dog-leg from Broad to Monterey and
Pedestrian and vehicle entrance to Mission
Plaza from Monterey will not be accessible.
•Portable restrooms in the area will not
be accessible.
•Construction Work Includes:
•Tree removals
•Installation of Temporary Pedestrian
Crosswalk
•Installation of Construction Fencing Screens
•Excavation for electrical temporary panel

Buy Local Bonus By the Numbers
The City invested $115,000 in gift cards from 165
businesses.
4,637 qualified shoppers participated November 29-
December 23.
Their total spending based on submitted receipts
equals $753,496.
Combined, the total direct local spending equals
$868,496.
The average qualification amount per shopper was $163
with 7,374 receipts submitted overall.
That's a 685% return on investment.
