Dear Mayor Stewart and Council Members,
Thank you for one again hosting the Community Forum, it is a great way for the Community to get involved in
the 2025-2027 Planning Process.
We are reaching out to you again concerning the Broad Street Corridor Plan.
We are very appreciative of the energy, funding and staff time you have all ready committed to updating this
plan.
We are then hoping you will continue to support and fund this plan in the 2025-2027 budget cycle.
The Broad Street corridor is in need of updating the traffic speed, re-striping of lanes and safety improvements
for all the users of the corridor, pedestrians, cyclist and cars.
Please consider the continuation of funding and support for this important traffic corridor.
As the City continues to implement the Vision Zero plan, Broad Street and it's safety for its users, plays a major
role in the implementation of the plan.
The City has done a great job at slowing traffic on both South and Santa Barbara, the gateway to the Broad
Street corridor, we hope that you will take the next steps to slow traffic and increase safety on Broad Street
itself.
Thank you for all you do and your service to our City.
John K. Thomas
