Hi, I’m unable to attend tonight’s meeting in person and I find it really important that we comment
whenever we can.
Today I’d like to make a comment about the La Loma Adobe. I know money is always tight and this year is
probably no exception, but it seems that when we’re considering all the things that we take care of and
find important in our community, our history has got to be at the top of the list. If we ignore our historical
areas and buildings, then they’re lost forever. If we can just hang in there and keep up with the
conservation of these historical buildings and areas it will make all the difference in who we are as a
community.
In looking into this particular site, it looks like it might be one of the oldest historical buildings in our area
right up there with the Mission Plaza, which is in my opinion, the center of our community. I just love that
there are people in our community that take interest and donate their time to help preserve the core in
history of who we are. That also shows who we are as a community when people come together to
preserve our history.
So please please consider this Adobe historical building a top priority.
thank you,
Nanci Parker
