Special Meeting 1/23/25
I wanted to thank the city for offering this community forum to discuss the financial plan process.
As a member of the Righetti Ranch Community, I wanted to voice my continued support for the
completion (and start!) of the city park planned for our community. Williams Homes' advertisements
included a beautiful large park and an assortment of pocket parks which have yet to be realized (which
feels very much like false advertisement!). There are a large number of young families who would greatly
benefit by having a playground and park (with sporting facilities) within walking distance. In addition,
there is a large number of pickleball players (of all ages) in the community who would benefit greatly from
additional courts within the SLO area. I know there are many other priorities the city must contend with,
but I would strongly urge to keep this park as high priority.
I also wanted to thank the city for all their efforts to make SLO a bike friendly community (I especially
appreciate the endless struggle to get the Bob Jones extension approved and appreciate that the
pedestrian hill behind the Monday Club that crosses the creek has finally been repaved!)
