I also think the inclusion of a barrier 5ft wide between the cycle path and vehicle lane is a waste of valuable road space Thirdly the los osos valley rd and sth Higuera junction from a cyclists point of view functions satisfactorily as it currently is when using south Higuera; to move the cycle lane to the righthand side of the traffic lanes would in my opinion be disastrous Your task in improving this stretch of road is not easy as according to my investigation it is for cyclists the MOST LETHAL stretch of road over the last three years in THE WHOLE OF CALIFORNIA whatever you do wont be perfect but for god’s sake don’t make it WORSE!!
