Dear City Councilmembers,
Strong Towns SLO is a hyper-local, community movement made of San Luis Obispo residents dedicated
to building a stronger, more resilient city.
We are writing today on Item 7a:
We celebrate and deeply appreciate your work in making Grand Avenue safer for the people
walking and biking there.
We are inspired by your willingness to start small, but start sooner, act today and improve
tomorrow.
We enthusiastically encourage you to continue prioritizing the safety of vulnerable road users in
your design considerations for South Higuera.
Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do, emphasizing the lives of the people living here
over the convenience of cars driving through.
