Subject:Rethink the city's proposed bike lanes

Dear Council member:
I do not believe in the direction that the City is taking with respect to our roads and transportation.
Our city is made up of retirees and working people who need to pick up their kids after school and take
them to various activities. Downtown has become so congested certain hours of the day when the large
delivery trucks are parked in one lane and allowing only one for motorists.
We are a community that needs and wants to drive across town without congested roadways.
Johnson Avenue along with Grand Ave. leading into Cal Poly is a hot mess and a perfect example of what
we don't want more of. Chorro St. is another example of where the City's good intentions are not aligned
with the community. I travel that street often and I rarely see cyclists taking advantage of these bike
lanes. I am a senior citizen, have paid taxes to the city for more than 50 years and disappointed with the
direction you taking us.
Thank you for the work you do as council members but please rethink the current plan for any future bike
lanes.
