Dear Council,
I am writing today to express my support for item 7A, the South Higuera Complete Streets Project. I
ask that the council prioritize this project as it will provide a safer, more accessible corridor for all.
Specifically, I ask that they ensure it maintains key features including safer intersections at Madonna
& Los Osos Valley Road, stronger protected bike lanes, and important accessibility upgrades such as
improved curb ramps.
South higuera is my main conmute to work from my house on high street to my work at stephen Ross
wines near trator Joe’s. when it is warm i bike to work, and during the winter months i ride my bike to
work. Additional bike lanes, separating the road way from the bike lane, would make me feel saver
both as a cyclist and as a responsible motorist along this route. It would do so without slowing down
either of my commuting methods.
