Hello Esteemed City Council,
I am writing to express support for continued development of safe biking corridors and exchanges in San
Luis Obispo. We have been bicycle commuters since our children were in pre-school (now at Laguna
and SLO High), and have had a number of close calls through the years due to suboptimal bike
infrastructure and had actually nearly stopped riding on city streets for a while as a result. Living on
Johnson ave, the road diet has slowed traffic and made it safer for our son to commute to SLO High, and
we appreciate and look forward to continued improvement to bicycle safety.
