Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. ________________________________ Dear City Council, Please no more road diets. Road diets 1) reduce road capacity, 2) increase congestion, and 3) release more pollutants into the air with congestions. EV drivers will certain enjoy more congestion’s. What struck me about the Eaton and Palisades fires were the 1) SINGLE lane of cars trying to evacuate at a snails pace, and the 2) sheer VOLUME of abandon cars from people who thought it be quicker to walk out. This is SLO! Too many single lane / reduced capacity roads in time of an evacuation: Grand, Johnson, Broad, Tank Farm, Downtown, Monterrey. We won’t be able to evacuate if Diablo goes up in smoke or some kind of natural disaster. Please don’t spend our tax dollars on road diets. Add lanes! Btw, SLO will never achieve 20% cyclist usage without a “bike trail” through SLO. This works in SoCal with the Santa Ana River Bed Trail and San Jose’s vast network of bike trails. Thank you for your consideration. Kind regards, Ron Sexton 965 Goldenrod Ln SLO CA 93401 408.431.9175 1
