Use caution when deciding to open attachments, click links, or respond. Dear Council Members, I am writing to say thank you for including La Loma Adobe rehabilitation in the City goals. I know it will be a long day for you and think it best to send my comments now. The 2023-25 City grant to Friends of La Loma Adobe has had a positive impact: donations have increased, volunteer hours have expanded, FLLA outreach has enlarged and neighbors are impressed by the changes that improved the neighborhood. FLLA Board members and other volunteers are actively engaged in researching La Loma Adobe's structural and archeological history as well as the diverse cultural and ethnic roots of its residents. A rehabilitated adobe can become an educational resource that honors our diverse origins and a source of pride in our community, including our residents, our commuter workforce and other visitors. The more hours I volunteer for this project, the more I am convinced that we need a peaceful place where history is not romanticized. Thank you for being a council that listens. You have incredibly difficult jobs in today's divisive world but, still working to mend some rifts on a local level. Thank you for your dedication and service! Sincerely, Norma Frey FLLA Board Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator 1
