I joined the SLO Tenants Union because I was tired of seeing my friends, family, and neighbors who pay
rent have to deal with higher and higher prices while the quality of their options got worse and worse.
I encourage the City Council to work with the SLO Tenants Union in order to ensure that the rights of
renters are respected and enforced, and to allow residents to be able to live in decent housing rather
than be forced to live with roaches, rats, and mold because it's the only place they can afford.
