This addendum shall supersede the original contract documents and prior addenda. Wherein this addendum contradicts the original contract documents and previous addenda, this addendum shall take precedence. All other conditions shall remain unchanged. The change specified below shall become a legal part of the original contract documents. A. CHANGES AND/OR CLARIFICATIONS TO THE NOTICE TO BIDDERS: 1. The Contract bid opening has been changed to 11:00 AM on October 3, 2024 The bid opening date of September 12, 2024, has been postponed. The revised bid opening will be October 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud via Microsoft Teams. 2. Remove and replace Bid Forms A-D: See attachment. Note that bid item 59 has been revised. Current Language: “BID ITEM 59 – TREE - 96” BOX” Replace with: “BID ITEM 59 – TREE - 76” BOX” B. CHANGES AND/ OR CLARIFICATION TO THE SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Question: Per Qualification Requirements, One of the six referenced projects must include plasterwork on a historic adobe structure completed. Question: Define plasterwork on a historic adobe structure. Answer: Refer to Specification; Section 09 2523 and Appendix “D” Murray Adobe Recommendations. 2. Question: Is the structure required to be on a historic registry for state, local, or otherwise? Answer: Refer to Appendix “D” Murray Adobe Recommendations. 3. Question: Is there a targeted volume or dollar amount of previous adobe repair work performed that is required in order to be deemed a qualified contractor? Answer: No, there is no requirement for the volume or dollar amount of previous Adobe repair work. Refer to Special Provisions; Notice to Bidders, Qualifications and Specification; Section 09 2523. 1.05 Quality Assurance. 4. Question: What documentation is required at the time of bid from contractor to demonstrate they meet this requirement and are qualified? Answer: Refer to Special Provisions; Notice to Bidders, Qualifications and Standard Specifications & Engineer Standards 2020, Section 2-1.33A General, Add to Section 2-1.33A. 5. Add Section 20-5.03D(2)© GRANITECRETE PAVING, General Summary: Quality Assurance paragraphs 1 has been revised and paragraph 2 is removed: Current Language: “QUALITY ASSURANCE: 1. Installations 500 square feet and over up to 3,000 square feet must be a recommended installer at a minimum. Installations 3,000 square feet and over must be an Approved Installer. 2. An installer not approved, but with sufficient experience for the project as determined by Granitecrete, Inc., may fulfill this requirement by providing a current letter from Granitecrete, Inc. verifying their ability to complete a successful installation for this specific project. For assistance, contact GraniteCrete, Inc. at (800) 670-0849.” Replace with: “QUALITY ASSURANCE: 1. Granitecrete no longer offers a certified installer program. Granitecrete shall be installed per manufacturer’s specifications, but a certified installer is no longer required. 2. Not applicable “ 6. Section 14-2.03A ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESOURCES, General: Replace the following: Current Language: “The Contractor shall comply with all requirements listed in Appendix E – Archeological Monitoring Plan. The City will hire an archeological monitor to inspect all ground disturbing activities.” Replace with: “Archaeological monitoring will be required due to proximity to archaeological sensitive areas. Monitoring will be performed by a consultant hired by the City. The contractor must comply with the Project Mitigation Measures required by the Archaeological monitoring plan (Appendix E). If archaeological or cultural resources are identified during monitoring, the monitor will be empowered to halt construction. Delays less than one full day of work will not incur additional compensation to the contractor due to archeological or cultural resources. Full compensation for conforming to the requirements of this section must be included in the lump sum price and no additional compensation will be allowed.” C. CHANGES AND/ OR CLARIFICATIONS TO APPENDIX B: SUPPLEMENTAL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. Section 04 2613 Paragraph 2.02A Brick Units. This specification has been revised: Current Language: “1. H.C. Muddox:https//www.hcmuddox.com/.” Replace with: “1. HC Muddox www.hcmuddox.com -Basis of design 1A. Or Approved Equal.” 2. Section 32 1416 Paragraph 2.01A.1 Brick Pavers. Question: The 96" box Swan Hill olive trees listed on the Plant Schedule on Sheet LP101 are unavailable. For bidding purposes, would 72" box Swan Hills be an acceptable substitute? Answer: Yes, the 72’’ Box for the Multi-Trunked Swan Hill Olive is an acceptable substitute if the 96” box is unavailable. Sheet LP101: Revise Planting Schedule to: “OLEA Europaea ‘Swan Hill’TM - Multi-Trunked Swan Hill Olive 72” Box” E. CHANGES AND/OR CLARIFICATIONS TO THE PLANS: 1. Add Sheets TP101 and TP501 (attached) to the project plans. Contractors are required to base their bid on the plans, specifications and any issued addenda. To do otherwise shall be at the Contractor’s own risk. Contractors shall note the acknowledgment of this addendum on the Bid Forms’ Bidder Acknowledgement Sheet.
