Hello all,
I am an employee of the Project Applicant for the 600 Tank Farm Road Project that is to be discussed as Item 4B at
th
the upcoming Planning Commission hearing on Wednesday February 26. The Project was initially approved in
February 2022. Since then, we have worked diligently to obtain the necessary right of way from the adjacent
property owner needed to construct the roundabout at the intersection of Tank Farm Rd. and Santa Fe (west) Rd.
Those e?orts have been exhausted and were unsuccessful, and as a result, constructing the roundabout is
infeasible at this time.
We have spent over a year designing an o?site public circulation improvement plan, as an alternative to the
roundabout, that fits within the right of way that is available to us and that attempts to meet the City’s goals and
th
policies to the greatest extent possible. This plan is what is to be discussed at the hearing on the 26 and is the
best option to provide a timely path towards constructing 280 much needed residential homes in the City of San
Luis Obispo, including 11 deed restricted homes for moderate income households.
We are happy to discuss this Project further with any of you prior to the hearing, of course subject to the Brown
Act.
Thank you,
Bryan
