RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING GRANT OF
REAL PROPERTY TO CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO
The following resolution is hereby offered and read:
WHEREAS, this District owns certain real property located in the Madonna.
Road area which. Is not now and will not in the future be needed for school classroom
buildings by the San Luis Coastal Unified School District, and'
WHEREAS, by an Agreement dated April 300, 1968, this District agreed to
convey to the City of San Luis Obispo said real property as described therein upon
complete payment to the former of the sum of $138,000.00,

WHEREAS, said sum has been paid in full by said City to this District,
tN'HEREAS, it is in. the public interest that said real property now be con-
veyed as prescribed in said Agreement.
NOW,_ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and ORDERED by the Board. of
Education of the San Luis Coastal Unified School District, as follows:
1. This Board finds that this resolution is approved unanimously by the-
members of said Board.
2. That it be and is hereby authorized and directed that the San Luis
Coastal Unified School District grant certain real property to the City of San Luis
Obispo, by executing and delivering a.grant deed, a copy of which deed is set forth
as Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
3. That the Secretary of this Board be and is hereby directed to give
notice hereof by,publishing this.resolution in the Telegram- Tribune, a newspaper
published. in said District and having a general circulation therein, not less than
once a week for three (3) consecutive creeks prior to making said conveyance.
4. That on the 7th- day of October , 1969, which date is at least
twenty -two (22) days after the first publication directed in Paragraph 3 hereof, at a
public meeting of the Board, the President of said Board of Education be and hereby
is authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the San Luis Coastal Unified School
District the grant deed, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A:
5. That the Secretary of this Board be and is hereby directed to transmit
to the City of San Luis Obispo the grant deed, the execution of which is authorized
herein, when the same has been so executed.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT,, entered Into this 30th day of April, 1968, by and between
the SAN.LUIS COASTAL UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT, one of the school districts
located in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and hereinafter
termed "School ", and the CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO, a Municipal Corporation
located within the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, and herein-
after termed "City ":
WITNESSETH:
That School and City, the parties hereto, in consideration of the mutual
covenants, conditions, policies and agreements herein set forth, hereby mutually
covenant and agree as follows:
I.— School agrees to sell to City and City agrees to purchase from School
that real property located In the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California,
and more particularly described on the attached document marked "Exhibit A",
which is hereby expressly referred to and incorporated herein as though herein
fully set forth.
2. That the price for said sale by School to City shall be the sum of
One Hundred and Thirty -eight Thousand Dollars ($138,000.00) for the approximate
twenty -three (23) acres, with payments to be as follows:
A. City shall pay to School the sum of Ninety Thousand
Dollars ($90,000.00) on or before August I, 1968;
B. City shall pay to School the sum of Forty -eight
Thousand Dollars ($48,000.00) on or before
August 1, 1969.
3. School shall convey said real property to City by Grant Deed within
thirty (30) days after the receipt of said final payment of $48,000.00.
4. All documents concerning said sale must be approved by the Board of
Education of School, by the District Attorney's Office of the County of San
Luis Obispo on behalf of said School, by the City Council of said City, and by
the City Attorney of said City on behalf of said City.

5. The parties hereto agree that until School conveys said real property
to City, any lease, use, improvement, or alteration on said real property can
only be made with written consent.of both parties.
6. The parties hereto further agree that the time for performance by the
City of its obligation to install. required public improvements on San Luis
Drive as set forth in paragraph two (2) of that certain agreement between the
same parties dated July 5, 1967, shall be, and is hereby, extended from
June 30, 1969, to June 30, 1970.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, School and City, the parties hereto, have executed
this Agreement on the day and year first above written.

Gentlemen:
Attached is City warrant # 226 in the amount of $48,000.00
which is the final payment by the City of San Luis Obispo for pur-
chase, from the school district, of the Laguna Lake school site,
in accordance with the agreement between the City and the school
district dated April 30, 1969.
The City of San Luis Obispo requests that upon receipt of
the final payment, that the school district process the necessary
grant deed for the property in accordance with paragraph 3 of said
agreement.
