Dear Council:
Per attached, i am a long time resident at LV2, a developer of my own subdivision and realtor for over 30
years; and while i would love to have more homes to sell ... i Strongly oppose the Broadstone's proposal
to build over 400 homes
on the 2 lots they have acquired next to Los Verdes Parks 1 & 2.
Why? Because we already are swamped with traffic, that we can hardly handle, and don't buy the
'alledged proposal' that building a By-Pass road between properties ... and ... their 3-story homes will
reduce noise & automotive pollution by 20%!
As we have seen elsewhere, anybody can get 'somebody,' to come up with a report, to support a thesis,
leaving US to decipher through the Smoke & Mirrors.
Key to this are a couple questions:
1) how does a road going south, about 100 yards east from the regular, already-estabished Southbound
on- ramp back to Avila, AG, Pismo, Nipomo etc defer any of that traffic? Maybe if it went north to city of
SLO? But certainly not much to south county; that is a road, going wrong direction. Simply takes you back
to Buckley and South County. Nice try!
2). How can anyone justify putting in 400 homes between freeway and LVPK 1 & 2 (only lineal 600') or
more importantly 600-700 CARS? Into this equation? Builders tend to Grossly under estimate the car
impacts, to all our detriment! LVParks 1 & 2 have 2 car garages, which equate to 90 x 2 x
