Remarks:
T1 arrived to find RP outside reporting that she heard the neighbors fire alarm sounding with no answer. T1 accessed Knox
keys and made entry into unit 514. T1 found no occupant and detected a slight odor of smoke but no signs of visible smoke or
fire. The odor may have been from burned materials the night prior. T1 found the radiator heater to be one and warm
adjacent to a previously burned wicker table. T1 removed all items from the vicinity of the radiator and turned the radiator
valve off. The unit had lights on, heater on, and changes of location of the burned items from the previous evening incident.
T1 removed the window stops to open the window fully and ventilated with the electric fan. The room alarm would still not
silence after evacuating the air. T1 tested for CO and O2 displacement with no remarkable findings. T1 returned the window
and stops and removed the detector. T1 left the detector just below its mounting location.
During the call, T1 attempted contact with the on-site manager and the onsite maintenance person with no success. T1 made
contact with maintenance person from the evening prior. He responded to the scene and T1
advised over the phone of the actions taken. T1 instructed the maintenance person to ensure no one occupied the unit until
the alarm was repaired. He had a temporary alarm he was going to install.
